Day 1
Travel to Amboseli & Afternoon Game Drive
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading towards Amboseli National Park. The scenic drive takes about 4-5 hours, passing through the vast plains and local villages. Upon arrival at Amboseli Sentrim Camp, you will check in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on your first game drive in Amboseli. This park is famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. Day 2
Amboseli – Morning & Afternoon Game Drives
Start the day with an early morning game drive when the animals are most active. You will have a chance to witness Amboseli’s famous wildlife, including elephants walking across the open plains with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Return to the camp for breakfast and some relaxation. After lunch, you will head out for another game drive in the afternoon, exploring different parts of the park. Amboseli’s wetlands attract many animals, making it a great place to observe wildlife up close. As the sun sets, return to the camp for dinner and a restful night. Day 3
Travel to Lake Naivasha & Visit Crescent Island
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Lake Naivasha. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours, passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp, check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to Crescent Island, a unique wildlife sanctuary where you can walk among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful lake views make this a relaxing experience. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 4
Hells Gate, cycling & Swimming
After breakfast, head to Hell’s Gate National Park for a full-day adventure. The park is famous for its dramatic landscapes, cliffs, and gorges. Enjoy cycling through the park, enjoying close encounters with zebras, gazelles, and warthogs. Later, optional exploration of the park’s scenic canyons on foot before heading to the Geothermal Spa. Here, you can relax and swim in naturally heated pools. In the late afternoon, return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay. Travel to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive
After an early breakfast, check out and start your journey to Masai Mara. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, with a stop along the way for refreshments. Arrive at Basecamp Mara in time for lunch. After checking in and some rest, you will go on an afternoon game drive in Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. This reserve is home to lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo, among many other species. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. If you are lucky, you might witness a predator hunt or a dramatic wildlife encounter. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with the game drive. Our trip to Hells Gates coutesy of Kriproto Safaris was marvelous. The tour guide ensured that all the requirements in terms of documents and suppliers were available even before the start of the journey. Not only did he ensure that we got on site early enough but also made sure we got to visit all the scenic places within reach though not part of the itinerary.
