Day 1
Nairobi- Amboseli National Park
You'll be picked up from JKIA or your Nairobi hotel in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park to arrive in time for lunch. Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which is the second largest mountain in the world. It dominates the landscape and open plains. After a brief rest, at 3 pm, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive till sunset. Then, you will return to the lodge for rest. Lunch, dinner, and your overnight will be at Ol Tukai Lodge. Day 2
Full-Day at Amboseli National Park
Today's flexibility is on another level. With the good views of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will head for a breakfast drive for a full day game drive, before clouds build up over the summit with a packed lunch provided. Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range as they are less unharassed by poachers. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps must form the highlights of your safari. Alternatively, you can head for an early morning game drive, then come back and have your breakfast at your lodge. Later, you'll enjoy the amenities of the camp until 4:00 pm. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive and a nice view of the sunset. Day 3
Amboseli- Tsavo West National Park
You'll wake up early for an exciting game drive with magnificent views of the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. You'll return to the lodge for a late breakfast then depart for Tsavo West National Park, arriving for lunch at the camp. The park is set with gently rolling plains, picturesque Taita Hills and lava flows all in a plateau dotted with acacia, scrub, and bushland. This is home to a variety of wildlife including the famed Tsavo elephants and lions. In the afternoon, you'll have an afternoon game drive. If time allows, you'll visit Mzima Spring. Then, you'll return to the lodge in the evening for rest, dinner, and your overnight stay at the camp. Tsavo West- Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
You'll enjoy your early morning breakfast. After breakfast, you'll leave Tsavo West for Taita Hills Sanctuary, a drive of 3 hours. You'll arrive with a short game drive en route to Salt Lick Game Lodge Sanctuary. You'll check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a game drive in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the zebras, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, and leopards. Day 5
Taita Hills- Tsavo East National Park
After an early morning game drive, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast. You will drive to Tsavo East National Park and check in at Ashnil Aruba Lodge and have lunch. You'll enjoy an en-route game drive. The sight of dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This along with the 300-kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. In the afternoon, you'll have another exciting game drive till sunset. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. I was referred to Arzoni Africa Safaris by a friend. My Canadian boyfriend informed me around June that he was planning to have spend a two weeks safari and beach relaxation in Kenya and Tanzania. Parks of his interest were Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Taita hills, Ol Pajeta and Lake Naivasha. Sam made our safari planning seamless and every request by my boyfriend and I were considered in the final itinerary. Overally, we had 10 days of safari and 4 nights in Zanzibar. The choice of accommodations was amazing and our expectations were met. Food was also excellent except in Elewana Tortilis (Amboseli) which were somewhat too spicy.
