Day 1
Nairobi to Sarova Mara Game Camp
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive southwest through the Great Rift Valley escarpment via Narok town, arriving at the Maasai Mara in approximately four to five hours. Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome at Sarova Mara Game Camp an iconic five-star lodge nestled in the heart of the reserve, surrounded by two streams, exotic trees, a large fish pond and a traditional Maasai village adjoining the property. Check into your spacious luxury tent choose from Mara Deluxe Tents, Mara Club Tents or Family Suites, each featuring a private patio with garden or park views. After a welcome lunch at the main restaurant, head out on your first afternoon game drive across the golden Mara plains for your opening encounter with Africa's most spectacular wildlife. Day 2
A Full Safari Immersion into the Wild
Rise before dawn and set out on an early morning game drive as the Mara comes alive in the first golden light of day the best time to catch lions and cheetahs in action before the heat of the day sets in. Spend the morning tracking the Big Five across the vast open grasslands, with expert Maasai guides reading every track, call and movement to position you perfectly for the most rewarding sightings. The camp's prime location in the heart of the reserve places guests directly in the path of the Great Wildebeest Migration corridors from July to October, millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move across the plains and cross the Mara River in one of nature's most extraordinary annual spectacles. Return to camp for a full lunch and enjoy the afternoon relaxing at the swimming pool or indulging in a treatment at the camp spa before heading out for the evening game drive timed perfectly for the legendary Mara golden hour sunset. Day 3
Mara River Crossings Bush Walk Balloon Safari and Maasai Village
For the ultimate Mara experience, the day begins before dawn with an optional hot air balloon safari at own cost (+$450 per person) floating silently above the golden plains as the first light reveals vast herds of wildebeest, elephant and buffalo moving far below, ending with a bush champagne breakfast in the wilderness. As the morning unfolds, position along the Mara River for one of nature's most electrifying moments the wildebeest river crossing, where thousands of animals surge into crocodile-filled waters in a thunderous wall of hooves and raw survival instinct that leaves every witness permanently changed. Return to camp for lunch before a guided bush walk with experienced Maasai guides revealing animal tracks, medicinal plants and bird life offering a perspective of the wilderness completely invisible from a vehicle. As the sun sets, gather on the open plains for sundowner drinks before returning to camp for a spectacular dinner under the stars." Final Dawn Drive and Departure to Nairobi
After breakfast, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people with a visit to a traditional Maasai village. This unique experience offers a glimpse into their authentic way of life, where you'll witness their vibrant traditions, intricate beadwork, and harmonious coexistence with nature. You'll have the opportunity to interact with the friendly Maasai people, learn about their customs and beliefs, and even participate in traditional dances and songs. It's a truly unforgettable cultural encounter that will leave a lasting impression to both you and the host community. Check out at around 9:00am and drive back to Nairobi with lunch stop. You'll be arriving in Nairobi at around 3:30 pm we drop you back to your hotel/Airport with incredible memories of your Maasai Mara adventure.
