Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Upon your arrival at the airport after your long flight, our team will be there to greet you and provide transportation to your city hotel, which will be either the Boma Luxury Nairobi or a similar hotel. They will explain what will happen next and answer any questions you may have about your upcoming safari, which starts the following day. Your arrangements are on a bed-and-breakfast basis, which is a suitable option for those arriving in Nairobi in the evening. However, if you arrive early, you can relax at the hotel or participate in various city activities, such as the Nairobi city tour, the giraffe center (Feeding the Rothschild giraffes), visiting the elephant orphanage, or visiting the Karen Blixen before returning to the hotel in the late evening. We recommend clients flying long hours to Nairobi consider arriving one day earlier to acclimate better and reduce jet lag. This approach will help ensure a more enjoyable and productive stay. Luxury hotel in Nairobi (City, Kenya) Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
Our company representative will pick you up from your hotel this morning. After a brief overview of the safari, you will be handed over to your experienced driver-guide for a scenic drive southeast toward Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on your first game drive, exploring the park's acacia woodlands, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife. You will return at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay. Amboseli National Park, covering 392 square kilometers, is renowned for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world at 5,895 meters. The park is also known as an elephant's paradise, where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp, grazing throughout the day. Due to the abundance of water and pasture, you may also spot cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gnus, gazelles, hippos, and many other animals during your visit. Luxury lodge located inside Amboseli NP (Kenya) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
You will leave the camp after breakfast, taking your packed lunch to enjoy in the wild. Your day will be spent exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli, which are nourished by subterranean water channels. Water is plentiful throughout the year, providing ample pasture for various herbivores, including elephants. After a long day of exploration in this 392 sq km area, you will return to the lodge late in the afternoon. There is also the option to start your day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they are most active. Afterward, you can return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch, depending on your lodge's location. During the hottest part of the day, you can relax in the camp, read your favorite book, or listen to your favorite music while observing the birds. Later, you will head out again at 4:00 PM for another drive through the park. You will return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay. Luxury lodge located inside Amboseli NP (Kenya) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
Today, after breakfast, prepare for a long but very scenic and exciting drive. You will head towards the border separating Kenya and Tanzania(Namanga border post). Prepare to pay for your visa, which costs $50- $100 depending on your nationality (visa cards NOT accepted). After clearing the border immigration process, you will transfer vehicles and join your Tanzanian driver/guide, who will welcome you and proceed further with your journey, stopping for lunch in Arusha. After lunch, you'll take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the day-to-day activities of the locals around this small but busy tourist transit town before proceeding further east, arriving in Lake Manyara in good time (mid-afternoon). You have a free afternoon to enjoy the lodge facilities like swimming and bird watching, or maybe relax by the poolside, reading your favorite book or writing your journal in preparation for a busy day tomorrow. Luxury lodge located on the escarpment above Lake Manyara NP (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
After a leisurely breakfast today, you'll pack your bags and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. During this time, you'll seek out active wildlife such as baboons and dik-diks, which forage for food beneath acacia trees. You may also encounter large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras grazing on the sun-drenched plains. In the acacia woodland, keep an eye out for the region's famous treeclimbing lions For lunch, enjoy a fresh African buffet prepared from local farm produce at a nearby homestead. Following lunch, you'll visit a local village where you can either ride on a tuk-tuk or walk through rice fields, observing the local community along the way. You will also have the chance to sample a local banana beer during your village walk. After your village experience, you'll make your way to Ngorongoro Crater, ascending the outer wall through dense vegetation. You’ll arrive at your hotel on the rim of the caldera in time for dinner and an overnight stay. Luxury tented camp located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
This morning, you'll descend into the crater, arriving ahead of most visitors — thanks to the ideal location of your accommodations on the crater’s rim —you'll descend into the crater floor for the half-day crater tour. There are only two roads that connect the crater rim with the crater floor, one for driving down and one for driving up. The crater is roughly 20 km/12 miles wide and 600 m/2,000 ft deep. Once you’ve reached the top of the caldera, it takes about 45 minutes to descend to the crater floor. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of size live there, Including about 20 black rhinos, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see the rhino. The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles and as a result, it's easier to watch them from up close where animals roam the lakes, rivers, and hills. Later, you'll ascend and return to your lodge at the rim for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 7
This morning, after breakfast, you will drive to the expansive and wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park, navigating through its stunning combination of savanna grasslands and volcanic hills. Along the way, you will stop for a privately guided tour of Olduvai Gorge, a significant site for prehuman hominid fossils. Renowned paleontologists Mary and Louis Leakey made many important discoveries here, including the remains of the "Nutcracker Man," who lived approximately 1.75 million years ago. You will visit the on-site museum, take in the views from the lookout point, and observe the excavations that revealed 3.7-million-year-old footprints and the 1.8-million-year-old skull of a human ancestor. Following this fascinating visit, you will continue to your lodge, which offers stunning views of the land inhabited by lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, and Many more. 5.0/5We had an amazing 10 days camping safari through Kenya. The trip was very well organised and Mambo's food was delicious. Eric took us to amazing game driving where we saw a great number of animals and received many interesing explanations about wild life. This was an incredible and unforgetable trip, thanks to the professionnalism and the good vibes of Eric and Mambo !

We returned home amazed after a 10-day camping safari trip with Eric and Mambo across Kenya. Travelling with them was so easy, so meticulously organised and professional that we felt completely at ease throughout the trip, allowing us to fully enjoy the landscapes, culture, game drives and animals. The entire trip was an opportunity for excellent exchanges and discussions with our guides, allowing us to discover the country and the regions we travelled through in greater depth. Thank you again for this amazing trip!

My trip to Kenya was made great because we used Camptrek Safaris for our Safari excusrsion. Three things remained constant on our trip: 1. They were always on time 2. They kept us engaged in all parts of our trip 3. They were always kind We were a group of 12 traveling with our 96 year old patriarch and they made everyone feel special as if the trip was just for them. The team was top notch and I absolutely had no complaints. If you are looking for a team that will put you first and make you feel special Camptrek Safaris is the team.

We (a family of five from Denmark with age of children being 10, 13 and 15 years) had a very good private safari with Camptrek Safaris. We booked a 4 night/5 day safari that took us to Masai Mare, Lake Nakuru, Naiwasha and Hell’s Gate National Park. Lucy was always very fast and helpful when communicating with her during the booking from Denmark, and she was there to send us off in Nairobi and when we came back after the safari. And our driver, Pili Pili, was exellent. Thank you CampTrek Safaris. This is a trustworthy company. Thanks!
