Coast – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your coastal hotel—whether you're staying in Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi. From the coast, you’ll drive approximately 4 to 5 hours passing through local villages and offering glimpses of rural life towards Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private conservancy bordering Tsavo West National Park, known for its scenic beauty and diverse wildlife. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink as you check in. The lodge, with its colonial-style charm and views of the sanctuary’s lush landscape, offers a serene setting for your stay. After a delicious lunch at the resort, you’ll set out in the afternoon for a game drive within the sanctuary. The Sanctuary is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and more than 300 bird species. Return to the lodge in the evening, just in time for sunset. Dinner is served at the resort, followed by a relaxing evening under the stars. Taita Hills – Coast
Start your day with an early sunrise game drive, when the sanctuary is most alive with activity. The cool morning hours increase your chances of spotting predators and other elusive animals before they retreat into the shade. Watch the sanctuary come to life as light spills over the hills and plains. After your game drive, return to the resort for breakfast, then take some time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, or explore the grounds at your leisure. Mid-morning, you’ll check out and begin your journey back to the coast, arriving at your hotel in the afternoon. Your short but memorable safari ends with drop-off at your beach accommodation, offering you the perfect contrast between coastal relaxation and wildlife adventure. We had a great time in Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Amboseli. The tour was well organized, with beautiful lodges (we loved Satao Camp and Severin Safari Camp), John was very helpful and also helped to organize a birthday surprise for a friend, Amos our tour guide was just awesome, he gave everything to make our tour unforgettable. We will definitely book our next safari in Kenya with Trav-Interactive again. Thank you for the great experience!
