Overview
Shindzela is an unfenced tented camp within the world-renowned Timbavati Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The safari-style tents are situated under thatch (grass-roof) structures. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests in total (8 safari tents). You will be treated with warm South African hospitality, a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy, and the opportunity to soak up the true African wilderness.

Day 1
Hoedspruit to Timbavati Game Reserve
Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met for your road transfer to Shindzela Tented Safari Camp. Once you arrive at the lodge, check in, settle in, and enjoy high tea before setting out on your first afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals, including the Big Five. Transfers from other airports, such as Nelspruit, Phalaborwa and Johannesburg, can also be arranged at an additional cost. Day 2
Timbavati Game Reserve
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day. When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap, and absorb the benefits of being out in the bush. After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. It will last for approximately 3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals. It is possible to do a game walk in the morning instead of a game drive, kindly enquire on arrival (weather dependent and subject to conditions). Day 4
Timbavati Game Reserve to Hoedspruit
After your final morning game drive to look for the last remaining animals that have eluded you, enjoy a warm breakfast. You will then depart the lodge for your road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport, where your safari comes to an end. We will happily help with any add-ons, such as the Garden Route, Cape Town, Victoria Falls and more. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
